I'm nervous about coming alone to my first event…

Getting involved with something new is always a bit nerve-wracking. This is one of the reasons that one or more hosts are present at all of our events – to welcome you on arrival, put you at ease and introduce you to the other members of the group. It is unlikely that you will be the only newcomer at the event and, even if you are, our members are generally socially sensitive people who remember what it was like to be a newcomer themselves.
